View Tribute Book Carol Ann Reeves of Midlothian, TX, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born in Dallas, TX on June 17, 1941 to Walter Leonard and Clemmie Marie Mouser. Carol met her lifelong love, John Reeves around 1954 in Arcadia Park. John preceded her in death in May 2022. Carol’s professional career included several years with Duncanville ISD in the area of Special Education, moving onto an administrative role with Dart Manufacturing in Dallas until her retirement in 1999. Carol had a passion for ministry, which included teaching elementary Sunday school at the First United Methodist Church of Duncanville for over 10 years. She and her husband of 63 years then moved to Midlothian in 1985, where she held a leadership role in the Adult Sunday school department of First Baptist Church in Midlothian for over 20 years. She also led an “Experiencing God” discipleship program in DeSoto for many years, and she was renowned at all functions and gatherings for her pies. Carol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Scott and Gayle Reeves, her daughter Karen Newman, her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Travis Norrell; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Garrett, Marissa, Kolton, Skyler, Mikayla, Kaitleigh, Lily, and Karly; and three great-grandchildren Sarah, Lucas, and Cooper, sister Diane Brown and husband Rex, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family invites those whose lives were touched by Carol to Jayne’s Memorial Chapel, 811 S. Cockrell Hill Rd, Duncanville, on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 anytime from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, for visitation. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 1651 S Midlothian Pkwy, Midlothian TX, 76065, with Pastor Bruce Prindle officiating.
