Carlos Guillermo Vega Morales, age 68, of Englewood, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 4, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1953 in Moravia, Costa Rica to the late Vangelia Vega Morales. He retired from DRT Tool and Die after 12 years. Carlos was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Englewood. He enjoyed listening to music, watching soccer games, and dancing. Carlos is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years: Carmen Luisa Salas, daughter: Paola (Andres) Vega Moreno, step-children: Eric (Lacy) Koogler, Maria (David) Martin, grandchildren: Antonella, Maximiliano, Bryce, Mia, Ava, Aston, Devon, Louie, brother: Marcos (Rosa) Vega, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who he leaves to cherish his memory. In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. A Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. Englewood). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church (1000 Wenger Rd, Englewood, OH 45322). Burial will follow the Mass at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton for their tremendous care and hospitality they continuously showed Carlos and his family.
