Obituary Carl Wesley Varnell Sr. 85, of Kennesaw Ga, peacefully passed away on July 9, 2022. Carl was born July 12, 1936 in Knox county Tennessee, to Raymond Varnell and Lucy Chesney. He was one of many children. He moved to Acworth, Georgia in the mid 1960’s where he met and married his wife Martha. They settled in Kennesaw, Georgia where he happily resided until the end of his days. Carl was a hardworking carpenter who built his life, much like he framed houses, from the ground up. He was an honest man with a no quit, tough as nails attitude;who was kind and generous to those he loved. Carl enjoyed buying investment properties, traveling, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. He had a passion for reading books and watching old westerns, especially starring John Wayne. Carl is survived by his sons Wesley and Warren Varnell, daughter in-law Elacia Varnell, step daughter Beverly Sears, his granddaughters Carla Varnell and Lindsay Cramer (Donovan) , great grandson Daniel Varnell, great granddaughter Stella Cramer, siblings Polly Russell, Ray Varnell, Nancy Robertson, Harold Varnell, Caroll Varnell and close friends Alene and Brenda Henson. He is preceded by his wife Martha Varnell. Carl will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him and loved him.
