Boyd’s Obituary Boyd Bradley Triplett, age 78, of Lenoir passed away peacefully Monday, October 10, 2022 at Amorem Hospice of Hudson. He was born on March 24, 1944 to the late Mathie Triplett and Vera Hamby Triplett. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Boyd Wayne Tickle; three sisters, Nell, Martha, and Coleen; and seven brothers, his twin at birth, Lloyd, AD, Van, Elmer, Carl (Buster), Joel, and Gene. Boyd was raised in Wilkes County and was a logger all of his life, he truly loved it. He was a faithful member of New Life Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, his family, his bowling family, his Paula’s Diner family, and recently his family at Amorem Hospice. He was well known for his bear hugs and taking his picture with so many wonderful people. Boyd never met a stranger and his smile could light up a room. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 20 years, Renee Koval Triplett, of the home; two daughters, Tammy Kinney and husband Eddie, and Lorie Kerley; two step-sons, Joshua McCall and wife Kelly, and Toby McCall and wife Mandi; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; his “adopted daughters and granddaughters”; sister-in-law, Drena Adams and husband Wiley, and Reba Triplette; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends; and his faithful poodle, Cricket. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at New Life Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Terry Kale. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Toby McCall, Joshua McCall, Eddie Kinney, Kobe Kinney, Koby McCall, and Kolten Farr.
