Our dear mom, Bonnie Rae Tripp, sadly passed away at ProMedica Nursing Home on November 24, 2022, at the age of 85. Bonnie was born on August 5, 1937, in Kingsford, daughter of the late Elbert and Edith May Coombes. Bonnie lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and loved to make homemade bread. Bonnie was a self-taught piano player who loved to play for her children and grandchildren. She continued playing while at ProMedica. She enjoyed listening and singing along to county music and loved to dance in her younger years. She also liked to read her paper and magazines. While she was still able she enjoyed gardening and feeding her birds and animals in the yard. She will be deeply missed by her children, Cindy (Ken) Rudd, Suzanne McMahon, Bonnie (Dion) Tarsi, Sally (Dan) Deau, Joe (Debbie) Tripp, and Marijane Tripp; grandchildren, Eric Rudd, Wesley Rudd (Frances), Josh (Suzanne) McMahon, Luke Lucas, Jake (Nicole) Lucas, Dylan (Tara) Tarsi, Danny (Niki) Deau, Lacy (Chad) Tarsio, Angie Tripp, Nikki (Mitch) Pickart, and Ryan Deau (Alex); 13 great-grandchildren; and she also helped raise extended family Donald (Jacqueline) and Mike (Kathy) Tripp. She is further survived by her sister, Sally (Jim) Hatton; a special aunt, Carol Constantineau; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Eleonor Tripp; her father-in-law, Bill Tripp; a sister Carol (Roger) Roznoski; a brother, Richard (Patricia) Coombes; sons-in-law, Pat McMahon and Jim Deau; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew. Bonnie’s family would like to thank the staff at ProMedica for the care in her final years. Private family services will be held.
