“B.J.” Barry’s Obituary Mr. “B.J.” Barry Joe King age 36 of Pat Colwell Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Monday September 12, 2022 at his home. Mr. King was born on December 17, 1985 in Ft. Myers, FL., the son of Jerry King and the late Rosalyn Flood King. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. B.J. loved fishing, playing pool and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, brother and uncle. He adored his nieces and nephews. He was the grandson of the late Gordon and Bessie Brown. He was preceded in death by his mother and also a sister, Dawna Ouelette. Mr. King was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. King are his loving wife and best friend, Barbara King of Blairsville, his father and stepmother, Jerry and Jeanette King of Blairsville, two stepchildren, Machalia Nelson of Blairsville, Bryan Nelson of Blairsville, three sisters and one brother in law, Jamie King of Blairsville, Susan Trimnal of St. Matthews, SC., Sandi and Stacey Emory of Turner, ME., one brother, Steven Coy of Florence, AZ., stepsister, Brianna and Ian Douglas, stepbrother, Steven and Crystal King, all of Blairsville, niece, Destiny Allen, nephew, Josiah Beaver, many other nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 6:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Abernathy officiating. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Barry’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
