Graveside services with Military Honors for Mr. Billy Ray Green, age 88 of Lineville will be held Tuesday December 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clay County Memory Gardens with Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Mr. Green passed away December24, 2022 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was native of Clay County and joined the U.S. Navy in his early twenties and retired after 22 years of services as a Chief Petty Officer. After retiring he worked for several years at Ace Products in Lineville and also Wellborn Cabinets in Ashland. He enjoyed cooking for his family and fishing. He was also a member of Liberty Hill Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Eulene Sims Green of Lineville, his daughter, Tawanna Kaufman (William) of Columbia, SC and two grandchildren, Monica Wesson and Will Sawyer, plus 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his Parents, Arthur Green and O’neal Yates Green, one son, Tommy Green, and two sisters and two brothers. Pall bearers will be Ronnie Green, Tommy Green, John Green, James Caldwell, Will Sawyer, and Ronald Ligon. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M.
