View Tribute Book Billy Warren “Bill” Davis, 85, Springfield, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield. He was born June 26, 1937 in Wright County, Missouri the son of the late Laverne and Eppah (Claxton) Davis. He was united in marriage on July 21, 1956 in Galloway, Missouri to Jane Ellingsworth. Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was co-owner of TRUX Trailer and Tractor Repair until his retirement in 2002. He was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church, a 60 year member of Henderson Masonic Lodge No: 477 and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple. He had many hobbies and enjoyed restoring old cars, fishing, golf, stock car racing and NASCAR. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa and will be missed by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jane, a daughter, Lisa Holcomb and her husband Charles, a son, Chris Davis and his wife Jan, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Harmony Baptist Church, Rogersville, under the direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the church. Burial will follow in Galloway Cemetery, Springfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Mission Fund, 5105 MO-125, Rogersville, MO 65742.
