Mrs. Betty Thibodeaux Valair Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley, LA, for Mrs. Betty Thibodeaux Valair, 80, who entered eternal rest, Monday, November 14, 2022 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. Interment will be in West Crowley Cemetery. Father Mark Odoquje will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial. Mrs. Valair is survived by her daughter, Lucretia Valair Pitre (Joseph, Sr.) of Opelousas, LA; one son, Rayland E. Valair of Crowley, LA; two brothers, Alex Thibodeaux, Jr. (Sylvia) of Slidell, LA and Raymond Thibodeaux of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Sylvia T. Lavergne of Lake Charles, LA, Clara Thibodeaux and Belva Hunt both of Houston, TX; three sisters-in-law, Mary Guillory (George) of Iota, LA, Veronica Bolden of Houston, TX and Jacqueline Valair of Tuson, AZ; five grandchildren, Larenzo Valair of Abbeville, LA, Rodneaka Thibo of Crowley, LA, Jaelen Bias of Crowley, LA, Joseph L. Pitre, Jr. and Jo’Mya L. Pitre both of Opelousas, LA; four Godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Valair was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Valair; parents, Alex Joseph Thibodeaux, Sr. & Deola Garrett Thibodeaux; two sisters, Delores Thibodeaux and Brenda Joseph; one brother, Warren Thibodeaux; one aunt, Mable Garrett; father and mother-in-law, Thomas & Marie Valair; five sisters-in-law, Jerolyn Valair, Janell Valair, June Valair, Lewanna Thibodeaux and Jeanette Thibodeaux; six brothers-in-law, Murphy Valair, Martin Valair, John Valair, Van Valair, Anthony Hunt and William Lavergne and a great niece, Jeanette Thibodeaux. Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
