She united with Bethlehem Baptist Church, Hamilton; and actively served at Bethel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Hamilton, Georgia. Betty received her Master of cosmetology at Columbus Technical College in Columbus, Georgia. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Stanley. Betty was previously employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia; and in 2011, due to health reasons, she retired and became a Homemaker. On Friday, December 23, 2022; she passed away at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Antonio Hixson; brothers: Jasper Hixson, Willie Hixson, Milton Hixson, Jerry Hixson, and Seab Hixson; sisters: Annie Ruth Jones and Martha Green. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Kenneth Stanley; children: Johnenne (Wand) Martin, LaKeshia Brown, Kenneth Rico (Brittney) Stanley; bonus son, Terence Stanley; grandchildren: JaKayla Martin, Jayden Stanley, and Zariyah Staleny; sister, Lula Jones; brother-in-law, Willie Clyde Stanley; sisters-in-law, Annie Woolfolk and Ruby Couch; uncle, Louis Hixson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
