Betty Ann Chinchen of Gowanda, New York passed away September 9, 2022 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital at the age of 89. She was born August 5, 1933 in Concord, New York a daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Belscher) Lazell. She was a Bus Driver for the Cattaraugus School District. She loved making all sorts of crafts, and spending time with her friends, and family. She volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, and was known for saying “I’ll do it tomorrow”. She loved a good fish fry. She is survived by her children: Donald (Dianna) Chinchen of East Otto, Linda (Jim) Wojdan of Gowanda, Michael (Shelly Green) Chinchen of East Otto, Lisa (David) Musall, and Richard Todd Chinchen; his sisters: Joan (late Edward) Klahn of Long Island, and Marlene (late Don) Klahn of Virginia; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband – Jim Chinchen Sr. whom she married March 10, 1951 in Collins, New York. There will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be announced. Memorials may be offered at Homecare & Hospice, 1225 W. State St., Olean, NY 14760.
