Bessie M. (Clark) Davis, age 91, a New Castle resident, passed away Thursday morning, August 25, 2022, at Henry County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 8, 1931, in Albany, Kentucky, a daughter of Herbert Q. and Nova (Jones) Clark. Bessie was a previous member of the American Legion, and the Eagles. She enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts, reading her bible, and collecting antiques. When she was younger, she enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions. Bessie is survived by children, Tim (Anna) Davis, Dannie L. (Deena Soliday) Davis, Lana (Whitey) Williams, Dana (John) Martin, and Shawn Davis; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Davis, Jr., in 1982. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Open Arms Church with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church located at 1618 Broad St., New Castle. Rose City Funeral Home directors and staff are honored to serve the Davis family.
