Bernadette’s Obituary Bernadette Lee Schrubbe, age 64 of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Bernadette was born in Milwaukee on October 31, 1958, to the late Phillip and Rosalie M. “Rosemary” (Di Giorgio) Corrao. In 1977, she graduated from James Madison High School in Milwaukee. On December 2, 1983, she was united in marriage to Royal “Greg” Schrubbe, who preceded her in death in 2003. Her kindness and love of people made her a natural caregiver, which made her a perfect fit as a childcare teacher. Family ALWAYS came first, as a dedicated mother of three sons, two daughters, and the “mother” to the many pets she had over the years. She loved fall, decorating for the holidays and enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her sons, Michael Corrao, Nicholas Schrubbe, and Nathan Schrubbe; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Gaffney, and Jacqueline Schrubbe; five grandchildren, Steven, Jacob, Jade, Rayne, and Mikey; two brothers, Phillip Corrao, Joseph (Elizabeth) Corrao, other relatives, and friends. Bernadette is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Ledgeview Memorial Park Chapel in Fond du Lac.
