Benjamin Bilder, 62 of Media, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in the Providence Rehab Center, Yeadon, PA. Born in Danville, PA, he was the son of William Raymond and Concetta (Mariano) Bilder. Ben graduated from Ridley High School, Class of 1978. He graduated from Villanova University with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for General Electric Aerospace Division, and worked for over 25 years at SAP. Benjamin was a loving father, wonderful son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed his life with his family, friends, and his dog Scout. Ben was a talented musician, playing guitar, mandolin, drums, bass, and trumpet. He played in several bands, attended many folk music festivals, and played open mic nights in Media. Ben loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, and skiing. He was an avid gardener and wine maker. Ben prided himself on his tomatoes and peppers. He loved his food, a true Italian, he was a foodie. He shared the love of the columbine flower with his mother, whom he called every Friday. Ben had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all, turning them on to his love of music inspiring others to play an instrument. He was always authentically himself and appreciated the little things in life. He had several dogs who he loved deeply and treated like his own children. Survived by his daughter Casey Lynne Bilder and his stepson Cody Drevenik, his mother Connie Bilder, his sisters Bonnie (Mike) Kilman, Jacqueline Bilder, and Denise (Mike) Cortellini, 5 Nieces, 5 Nephews, his Ex-Wife Lori Kowalski Bilder and many friends and family. Predeceased by his father William Raymond Bilder. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 9-10:00am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA. Memorial service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
