Benjamin Wagner, age 43, of Marshall, Minnesota, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home. A private Funeral Service will take place at a later date at Hamilton Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lynd Cemetery. Benjamin Andrew Wagner was born March 7, 1979, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Dr. Curtis and Margret “Gretchen” (Schoenbohm) Wagner. He was a lifelong member of the Marshall community and was baptized as an infant at St. James Episcopal Church. Ben attended school at Holy Redeemer and Marshall Area Christian prior to high school. He later attended Pipestone Vocational Technical School and Southwest State University, where he studied Physics. Ben also spent a few years working as a carpenter. Ben was naturally clever at inventing devices that helped prevent the tendinosis with which he was afflicted. He carried an inventive spirit which led to hours spent researching and coming up with solutions for a nuclear fusion reactor. Ben also enjoyed being out in the country and spending time at Camden State Park. Ben is survived by his parents, Dr. Curt and Gretchen Wagner of Marshall; 2 sisters, Kara (and John) Wagner Sherer of Chicago, IL, Christina “Tina” (and Jeff) Olson of Duluth; 5 nieces and nephews, Madeleine Wagner Sherer, Carlisle “Elsie” Wagner Sherer, Indie Finlo, Jaz Finlo, Cele Finlo; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Gertrude Schoenbohm, Wilko and Virginia Schoenbohm; and paternal grandparents, Elsie and Arthur F. Wagner.
