Obituary Barbara L. Bewsey, 88, a life-long resident of Frankfort, passed away October 8, 2022, in IU Health Frankfort Hospital following a brief illness. Barbara was born February 9, 1934, in Frankfort, to Ben and Esther (Loveless) Myers and attended Frankfort High School. She married Jack Bewsey on June 9, 1950, and he preceded her in death in April 2016. A love for being around children led Barbara to her employment at Pixie Playhouse and also in the Kyger Elementary School cafeteria. Barbara enjoyed sewing, crafting, and scrapbooking. She was devoted to her family and faith and attended the First Christian Church in Frankfort. Surviving Barbara is her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Jones; daughter-in-law, Josie Bewsey; four grandchildren, Kyle Bewsey, Kevin (Megan) Jones, Kellen Bewsey, and Keith Jones; and one great-grandchild, Austin Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeff Bewsey; and her two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022, from 12 noon to the beginning of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
