Obituary Mrs. Barbara Jean (Biesecker) Beckner, 80, of Haulman Road, Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 in her home. Born January 19, 1942 at the family home in Five Forks, she was the daughter of the late C. Roy and Emma Saloma (Benedict) Biesecker. She attended Quincy High School with the Class of 1959. She and her husband of 64 years, Mr. Henry L. Beckner, were married September 18, 1958. Mrs. Beckner was employed as the secretary for the family business, B Equip, Waynesboro for many years and later for Spring View Appliance and Mattress, Chambersburg. She was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro where she served on the funeral meal committee. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beckner is survived by five children, Gerald Henry Beckner (Nancy), James Biesecker Beckner (Patti) and Twilla Jean Garber (Keith), all of Chambersburg, David Roy Beckner (Barbara) of Wolfesville, MD and Bradley Carl Beckner (Tiffany) of Waynesboro; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Eleanor Beckner and her husband, Frank, Roy “Dick” Biesecker and his wife, Susan and Jane Biesecker, all of Waynesboro and Susanne Wenger of Orrstown; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathleen Emma Beckner and Christine Jane (Beckner) Rohrer; and one sister, Irene Hawbaker. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in the Auditorium at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will be in Hades Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday evening and one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the auditorium at the church.
