Ava A. Gibbs, age 73, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1949 in Richmond, IN to the late Louis and Irene (Hartman) Howard. Ava was a 1967 graduate of Eaton High School; was a member of the Eaton American Legion; enjoyed cooking; and loved to spend time with all of her family. She worked at Dayton Flex (Baxter) for 10 years; and retired from Eaton Floor and Wall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Bob Crank and James Crank. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Warren Gibbs of Eaton; daughter Amy Gibbs (Bill Wing) of College Corner, IN; son Michael Gibbs of Eaton; grandchildren Kyle Gibbs (fiancé Kelsey) of Dayton, Macy (Ryan) Cassidy of Eaton and Damien Pugh of Eaton; great grandchildren Trinity Kaye and Trey Johnson; and sister Jeanne Kingrey of Eaton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
