Auriel Nicole Wilson Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at New Life Church of God Campground in Palmetto, LA, for Auriel Nicole Wilson, 25, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, December 4, 2022 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in New Life Church of God Cemetery. Auriel is survived by her parents, Nicole Cane (Jerome) of Palmetto, LA and Langston Wilson of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Jalen Wilson of Palmetto, LA; two sisters, Darien Wilson of Houston, TX and Natania Wilson of Lafayette, LA; her grandmother, Rosemary Leday Wilson of Lafayette, LA; three aunts, Effie Cane (Ron C.) of Palmetto, LA, L’Xandria Richard (Mark) of Lafayette, LA and N’Tundra Jasper (Elijah) of Vinton, LA; three uncles, Mervin Cane, Jr. of Palmetto, LA, Christopher Cane, Sr. (Marlena) of Opelousas, LA and Malcolm Wilson of Houston, TX; one nephew, Za’Kyri Savoy of Lafayette, LA; a special friend, Alisha Arrington of Atlanta, GA; and a host of cousins who were like sisters and brothers and a group of amazing friends. Auriel was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mervin and Betty Cane; step-grandmother, Rose Hodges and a very special great uncle, Clayton Leday. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at New Life Church of God Campground.
