Obituary Mrs. Arneita Mae Williams (nee: Thomas) of Wright City, MO., passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born on February 18, 1937 in St. Louis, MO., to the late William Alfred and Faye (nee: Prince) Thomas. Arneita had reached the age of 85 years. Arneita was united in marriage to Ronald Edmond Williams on November 2, 1957 in St. Louis. To this union, three children were born; Steve, Dianne, Charlotte and adopted daughter Melanie. Arneita loved caring for her husband and children and later she dearly loved caring for her grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She also loved animals, especially her Beagles. She raised, trained and showed Beagles for several years. Arneita enjoyed crafts, doing jigsaw puzzles and going shopping. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals and treats for her family. Growing up in the St. Louis area, she was naturally an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. She also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween with her grandchildren. Arneita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many and will be missed by them all. Arneita Williams was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Williams; her parents, Alfred and Faye Thomas; one brother, Bill Thomas and one grandson, Travis Sellers. Those who are grateful for having shared in Arneita’s life are her children; Steve Williams and wife Pam, Dianne Sellers and husband Ron, Charlotte DeRoy and husband Danny and Melanie Schumacher; 7 grandchildren, Tara Massmann ( Ron), Jodi Welsh, Brandon Williams, Dallas DeRoy (Lily Biggs), Katie Williams, Wyatt DeRoy (Taylor), Tyler Schumacher; 6 great grandchildren, Haden, Alyssa, MJ, Chase, Harper and Rozyn; two special nephews, Charlie Thomas (Beth), Frank Thomas (Kristy), other relatives and many friends. A visitation for Mrs. Arneita Williams will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow the funeral at New Dillard Cemetery in Davisville, MO.
