Armelita Louise Challe, 74, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by her family. Armelita was born on August 16, 1948 in California to the late Carmelita (Sombar) and Colin Hodges. She married George W. Challe and the two spent 58 wonderful years together. She is survived by her husband George, sons David (Lizabeth), Dan (Jennifer), and Darren (Elisa) Bell; daughter Lily W. Challe; grandchildren Brandon, Brooke, Skylar, Danyelle, Mark, D’Angelo, Diego, Eva, Vinny, Melissa, and Kimberly; great-grandchildren Keelie, Bethany, Annalise, Cameron, Emma, Lily; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Armelita was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Challe, and her twin Arthur Hodges, who passed away at birth. Armelita was a kind, social, and thoughtful woman who made fast friends. She held several jobs throughout her life, such as a CNA, where she made and strengthened connections with others. Armelita loved the ocean, her family, and getting to know others. She touched many lives and will be missed dearly. Private family services were held. Lazarczyk Family Funeral Homes, Steinke Chapel of Lake Geneva, is proudly serving the family.
