Anneke Beckwith, 87 of Enid Oklahoma passed away peacefully on 24 November, 2022. Anneke was born on April 16 1935 in Voorburg, The Netherlands. In 1961 she came for a visit to Enid Okla. where she met and fell in love with Donald Ray Beckwith. They married the following year and had one daughter, Joanna Mae Beckwith. They made a lifelong home in Enid where Anneke worked many years as the office manager for the Tri-State Music Festival. Anneke was preceded in death by her husband Donald Beckwith, her daughter Joanna Beckwith and her parents Jan and Johanna Knapper, her in-laws Peggy and Polly Beckwith, her Aunt Lillian Pope and her brother in law Fred Duane Berry. She also was preceded in death by Helen and Aubrey Berry. Although not blood related, she had such a close connection to them that she considered them family. She is survived by her sister Susanna Knapper Berry, her nephews Jon and Keith Berry (Elzale), Linda Berry Smith and husband Charles Smith , Audra Lynn Arr and Michael Wurth. She also is survived by several cousins in The Netherlands. A special thanks to Garland Road Nursing and Rehab. who lovingly cared for her during the last years of her life, friends Linda Malaska and Dana and Monty Melvin who’s support and love not only extended to Anneke but to our whole family, and to Humanity Hospice. A private Memorial will be held at a later date.
