Obituary Annabel Fisher Montgomery Clinton, age 100, passed away in her home at Friendship Village of the South Hills on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved with her family to Pittsburgh in 1938. She graduated from Dormont High School and from the University of Pittsburgh with Highest Honors, an A.B. degree in Economics and a Master of Letters in English literature. She was a member of Mortar Board and Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. Her 20-year business career was spent with United States Steel, Chemical Division, which later became USS Chemicals. She was a member of the Mount Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, serving in the choir, as a deacon and an elder. She was a past president of the South Hills College Club and The Woman’s Fortnightly Review of Mt. Lebanon. Her first husband, 2nd Lieutenant Chester B. Montgomery, a pilot, was killed during World War II. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, John W. Clinton. She is survived by two stepdaughters to whom she was a second mother, Barbara Clinton Albassam (Darim) and Sandra Clinton Marks (Kenn); three grandchildren and spouses, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew, all by marriage. Burial will be private at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may greet the family following her memorial service at Friendship Village of the South Hills,1290 Boyce Rd., Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, on a day in November, which will be announced shortly.
