Anna Blevins Machin, 96, of Washington County, VA passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center, Abingdon, VA. She was born in Washington County, VA on October 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Ezekiel Blevins and Amelia Annabell Henderson Blevins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Noah Barr, and second husband, Tom Machin; and a son, Michael Eric Barr. She had lived in Northern, VA for many years prior to moving back to Washington County, VA in 1972. She was a former member of Damascus Senior Citizens and Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a multi-talented artist and enjoyed decorating specialty cakes. Anna is survived by two sons, Timothy Keith Barr of Bluff City, TN, and Dennis Barr of Bristol, TN; two step-daughters, Lynn Kropielnicke and Catherine Gail Machin, both of Edmonton, Alberta Canada; a sister, Charlotte Umberger of Wytheville, VA; four grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Abingdon Health and Rehab for all the love and care shown to Anna during her time there.
