Obituary Allen A. Fischer, age 61, of South Haven died Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 31, 2022 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Alex Becker will officiate. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the South Haven City Hall. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home website. Allen Albert Fischer was born September 3, 1960 in St. Cloud to Lawrence and Marcella (Stein) Fischer. On August 20, 1983, he was united in marriage to Barbara Wittrock at St. Mary Help of Christians in St. Augusta. Allen worked as a carpenter for over 30 years; he also owned and operated a small engine repair business for 10 years with his wife and son, David. He served for 42 years on the South Haven Fire and Rescue Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the drums and spending time with his family. He had a hobby of raising many different types of birds and Chihuahua puppies. Allen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an active member of his community. He is survived by his wife, Barb; seven children, Peter Fischer (Paula Galvan) of Darwin, Miranda Fischer of Annandale, Michelle (Kyle) Kilmer of Clear Lake, Brenda Fischer of South Haven, Linda Fischer (Melinda Roering) of Sartell, Brian Fischer of South Haven and David Fischer of South Haven; seven grandchildren, Darrin, Owen, Preston, Pierce, Kameron, Maverick and Maddox; two step-grandchildren, Josie and Andie; sisters, Sandra Hall of New London and Shirley (Duane) Mattson of St. Cloud; and brother-in-law, Jim Habiger of St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Carter Shuvo Fischer; brothers, Eugene and James Fischer; and sisters, Lucinda Habiger, Rose Ray, JoAnn Chock and Geraldine Freeman. The South Haven Fire and Rescue Department will serve as urn bearers.
