Alfreda Rauch Raquet passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was born in Abita Springs on September 20, 1940, to Laura Johnston Rauch and Alfred Rauch. She is survived by her children Dennis Raquet (Lisa), Christopher Raquet, Alfred “Jamie” Raquet (Melissa), Ann Raquet Bankston (Eric). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry John Raquet Jr.; her son, Henry Joseph Raquet; her parents Laura Johnston Rauch and Alfred Rauch; siblings, Mary Jane Feske, Laura Ann Powe. Mrs. Raquet was a native of Abita Springs, a graduate of Covington High and retired in Covington, LA. She was the owner operator of Rauch’s Grocery in Abita Springs where she helped many families in need. Alfreda was a parishioner of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church and was a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. Her true passion was working in her yard and wood crafting. Alfreda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The Raquet family expresses their deepest gratitude to the care provided by Hospice of St. Tammany. In lieu of flowers kindly consider, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Raquet may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on day, January , 2023, at :00 M with visitation on day beginning at :00 M. Interment will follow in Abita Springs Cemetery.
