Obituary Please share a memory of Ada to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Ada passed away suddenly on Friday November 18th, 2022 at the age of 99. She was born on October 16th, 1923 to Gastave and Bertha Johnson in Madison, South Dakota. She was the sixth child of nine children. She graduated from Orland High School in 1941. On March 31, 1945, She married Edward M. Muth in Hugo, OK. After living in Sioux City, Iowa for two years they moved to Eugene in 1948 with their son Ed. Ada began working for the telephone company in So. Dakota and retired from the company after 37 years of service. After retiring, Ada and Ed traveled extensively around the world. They also spent many years traveling around the U.S. in their motor home, spending many winters in the warm SouthWest. Ada was very active in the UFW auxillary, American Legion auxillary and the Knights of Pythias. She and Ed attended United Lutheran Church for over 65 years. Ada loved playing games (Bingo, Mexican Train) and keeping up with her two grand children and six great-grandchildren. She lived the last five years in Salem. A special thanks to the caring staff of Bonaventure Living for the care she received. Ada is preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents and all her brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include; her son Ed (Terry) of Salem, Grandchildren Jason (Michelle) of Salem, Megan (Kevin) of Wilsonville and her great-grandchildren: (Jackson, Brady, Olivia, Kheller, Lucas, and Travis.) A small family funeral is scheduled in December when Ada will be interred next to her loving husband of 71 years, Ed.
