Obituary Richard Lawrence Crutchfield, Sr., age 77, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, died Saturday, November 28, 2020. He was born October 9, 1943 in Danville, Va. to the late Emmett Robert Crutchfield and Estelle Carter Crutchfield. He was owner/operator of Whiteville Plywood. He served is country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife; Lynn Wallace Crutchfield of Lake Waccamaw, three daughters; Susan C. McGarry of Littleton, Colorado, Julie C. Nesbit of Weddington, NC and Sarah Crutchfield of Lake Waccamaw, a son; Richard (Rich) Lawrence Crutchfield, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, a brother; Robert “Bob” Crutchfield of Lake Waccamaw, grandchildren; Anna, Lizzie, Maggie, Emily, Wes, Carter and Lucy. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2020, at 11:00 am at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
