Martha May Farley Sparkman, 83, of Shinnston passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 26, 1937 in Harrison County a daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret Hall Quinn. Martha is survived by her husband James M. Sparkman. She is also survived by her son, Homer Farley, Jr. and his wife Judy of Shinnston; her brother, Terry Quinn; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her first husband, Alonzo Clark Sampson; her second husband, Homer M. Farley, Sr.; and her siblings, Donald Quinn; Jackie Quinn; Norma Sendling; Arnold Ray Quinn; Larry Quinn; Brenda Richards, and Carol Ann Wallace. Martha loved her church family at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She also enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She was a loving wife and mother. The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Her nephew, Donald Sendling will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Lions Club Cemetery in Lumberport.
