Joann’s Obituary Joann M. Wemple, 87, of Assumption, died November 21, 2020 in Pana Community Hospital. Private graveside services will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society or American Cancer Society in care of Seitz Funeral Home, 118 E. Main St., Moweaqua, IL, 62550. Joann was born on February 5, 1933 in Herrick, IL, the daughter of George and Bessie (Disponet) Moore. She married Clifford Wemple on September 19, 1951 in Poplar Bluff, MO. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1987. Joann was a member of Old Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. She worked at the Lake Lawn Inn for many years and cleaned at the Assumption City Hall. Surviving are her daughters: Betty Jo Park of Assumption, IL, Rita Wempen of Hammond, IL and Donna (Chuck) Hunter of Decatur, IL; and nephews: Ronald Moore and Donald (Jennifer) Moore all of Assumption, IL. Preceding her in death is her husband Clifford; parents; brothers, Kenneth and Charles; sister, Gladys; sisters-in-law, Imogene and Audrey; and brother-in-law, George Manuel.
