Jessie’s Obituary Jessie L. Carroll, 92, of Moweaqua, died November 25, 2020 in her home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Moweaqua Lions Club in care of Seitz Funeral Homes, 118 E. Main St., Moweaqua, IL 62550. Jessie was born on June 6, 1928 in Richardson, TX, the daughter of Lee and Tennie B. (Childress) Shaw. She married Curtis A. Winter in Tyler, TX. He preceded her in death in 1973. She later married Carney E. Carroll. He also preceded her in death. Jessie was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua and Moweaqua Lions Club. She was a former member of Flat Branch Home Extension and a former 4H Leader. Surviving are her daughters: Rose M. (Gary) Hooper–Paul of Shelbyville, IL and Cynthia (Steve) Hooper of Moweaqua, IL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, LT (Nancy) Shaw of Casper, WY and brother-in-law, Jim Morrow of Austin, TX. Preceding her in death are husbands: Curtis Winter and Carney Carroll; sons: Karl Lee Winter and William Wayne Winter; parents; two brothers and two sisters.
