Alphonso’s Obituary Alphonso D. Ramirez, 48, of Topeka, passed away on November 21, 2020 at the University of Kansas Health Care Systems, St. Francis Campus. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 2, 1972 the son of Carmen, SR and Luisa (Escobar) Ramirez. He was a huge fan of the WWE where he loved to watch Hulk Hogan and John Cena who were his favorites. Alphonso is survived by his parents, Carmen, SR and Luisa Ramirez and his siblings; Maria (Stuart) Porter-Ramirez, Carmen Ramirez Jr., Yolanda (Steven) Blount, Edward (Mable) Ramirez, Rosanne Ramirez-Arellano, Christina Ramirez, Lisa (Jim) Tignor, and Angela Cox, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Alonzo Brooks, and two great-nephews, Del Juan Patton and Antonio Clark, Jr. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Sheltered Living Inc., and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
