Obituary Memorial Graveside Services for Michael R. McNeil, age 66, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, will be held Friday, October 23, 2020, at 3:00 pm at New Palestine Cemetery, 2336 Palestine Road, Picayune, MS. Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2020 from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm at New Palestine Cemetery. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Young will officiate the service. A native of Picayune, MS, he was a retired Bus Driver for the Picayune School District and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. Mike was a member of the C.M.A. Motorcycle Association. He was the most humble person and never met a stranger. Mike loved telling tall tales and cooking, fishing, and watching Western Movies. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Jack McNeil and Helen Sinclair Croenne; his son, Jason R. McNeil; his brother, David McNeil; and his sister, Tanya McNeil Hatfill. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruth Elaine Herrin McNeil; his daughter, Brandi R. (Chris) Smith; 4 grandsons, Christopher Smith, Cameron Smith, Cole Smith, and Cade Smith; his sister, Debbie (Sam) Newman; his brother, Jack (Gwen) McNeil; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Roseland Park Baptist Church, 2130 Hwy 11 N, Picayune, MS 39466, in memory of Mike McNeil.
