Michael Darren Parsley was born May 24, 1967 in Corbin, Kentucky. Michael grew up in the small town of London, Kentucky and was very proud of his home state. Michael earned a BS Mathematics, BS Chemistry and MS Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on rockets and jet propulsion systems. As a young man, Michael went straight into the work force and gained experience in many industries and was successful in high level positions throughout his career. Michael was a hardworking, extremely intellectual, highly respected man. He was a very compassionate man who made an impact on everyone he met. His hardy laugh was contagious and his willingness to help others was endless. Michael loved motorcycles, watching action movies, spending time with his family and relaxing with his dogs. Michael passed away October 1, 2020, at age 53, in Katy, Texas. He is survived by wife, Carrie Parsley; and legacy to two daughters, Megan Danielle Parsley and Destini Pierce; and son, Desmond Pierce. He was preceded in death by his father, David Parsley and mother, Norma (Sutton) Parsley. Funeral services for Michael Darren Parsley will be conducted Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnathan Carmack officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Michael Darren Parsley will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until service time on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
