Larry’s Obituary Larry Leamon Vick, 81, of 200 E. Brickell Street, Winton, NC, died Sunday, October 25, 2020 in his home. Mr. Vick was born in Edgecombe County on July 11, 1939, and was the son of the late Burl Leamon Vick and Bertha Estelle Taylor Vick. A retired bus mechanic with the Hertford County School System, he was a member of Winton Baptist Church, a Past Master of Winton Masonic Lodge #327, and a former member of the Winton Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Leamon “Ronnie” Vick; and by his sisters, Essie Davis and Faye Pope. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jessie Mae Liverman Vick, and their grandson, Justin Leamon Vick, his wife Erin, and their daughter, Avery Lynn Vick, of Raleigh. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 28th, at 11:00 a.m. in Winton Baptist Church and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Derik Davis. Social distancing measures will be practiced and masks are encouraged. A private burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the service, or other times at the home.
