Joseph J. Castelli, 89 of Great Kills, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Patricia Castelli. Loving father to Joseph T. Castelli, Michael Castelli, Mark Castelli and John Castelli. Fond father-in-law to Keri Castelli, Jie Li-Castelli. and Eileen Castelli. Devoted grandfather to Kaity, Joe, Anthony and Angelina and dear brother to the late Ann Planz and the late Tom Castel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 5:00 on Monday, November 2, 2020, at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Please be mindful due to the current State mandate that a mask must be worn at all times in the funeral home and social distancing requirements must be followed during the services. Due to the current Pandemic a strict 40-50 person in room policy is in effect. Please adhere to this policy and allow others to pay their respects as well.
