Jean Mathis Dudley, 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Manhattan Nursing & Rehab in Jackson, MS. The Family will have a private graveside service at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS due to the current gathering restrictions. Mrs. Dudley was born to Louis Mathis and Marie McQueen Mathis on August 27, 1933 in Collins, MS. In her spare time, Jean was an avid gardener. Affectionately known as Mombo by her friends and family, Jean loved children and she never came back from a trip to the store without a story about a child she had met. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed keeping her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Cliff Dudley; brother, Freddie Mathis; and grandson, Josh Jones. She is survived by her son, Scott (Natalie) Dudley of Byram; daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Jones of Ridgeland; grandchildren, David Jones, Laura (Rhett) Stubblefield, Sallianne (Keith) Campbell, and Bailey (Scottie) Dudley Stanford; and great-grandchildren, R.B. Stubblefield, Rowan Campbell, Bennett Stubblefield, and Lincoln Stanford. The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers at Manhattan Nursing & Rehabilitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jean Mathis Dudley August 27 1933 October 21 2020.
