Jack L. Powell, formerly of Paducah, KY, now of Bullhead City, AZ and Iron Mountain, MI, passed away October 13, 2020, at the age of 80 at his summer residence in Iron Mountain. Mr. Powell served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Jack was a certified electrician with a license in Kentucky. He also lived in Chicago for 25 years where he worked in sales. He then came to Upper Michigan and lived in Vulcan for 16 years, financing cars at Edwards Chevrolet, but the cold weather was more than he could stand in the winters, so now he was living in Arizona during the winters and Iron Mountain during the summers. Jack retired from the McCracken County School system where he worked in maintenance for 15 years in Kentucky. Mr. Powell was one of ten children born to Lawrence and Mary Lou Powell. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice Brown, Dorothy Cathey, and Shirley Orr; brothers, James, Larry (Diane) Bill, Terry (Charlotte), and John Wayne (Marsha); and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; sister, Martha (Tootie) Turner; and his parents, Lawrence and Mary Lou Powell. Jack’s new life included his true soulmate, Marion Bubloni; her three sons, Michael (Michele), Mark and Rick; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of the surrounding area. There will be no services at this time; burial will be in the Norway Cemetery in the spring. Condolences to the family of Jack L.
