Ivan André Turnage, 79, of Boiling Springs, SC died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 27, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Elmer Emmett and Patricia Aileen Holland Turnage. Mr. Turnage was a local businessman and entrepreneur who enjoyed his work and loved spending time with his family and doting on his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dianne Simmons Turnage; son, Billy Turnage (Kim) of Florida and David Turnage (Caron) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughters, Suzanne Turnage of Union, SC and Jamie Turnage of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Brian, Christy, Taylor, Chris, Stephen, Kayla, Trevor, JJ, and Godric; great-grandchildren, Lilli, Kady, Cole, CJ, Oliver, Andrea, Kinsley, Hallie, Alayna, Brayden, and Ayden; and sisters, M. T. Myers, Patricia Hill, and Ann Turnage all of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by son, André Turnage, and siblings, Elmer Turnage Jr., Julian Turnage, Richard Turnage, and Reba Walsh. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family wants to acknowledge the staff and caregivers on Pavilion 4-ICU for the special care and acts of kindness shown to the family during his stay.
