Fred’s Obituary Fred Clem Sr. was born April 18, 1923 in Harlan, Kentucky, the son of the late Cull Clem and Nellie Sergent Clem Stewart. He was united in marriage to Geneva Brown Clem who preceded him in death. He is survived by three children Fred Clem, Jr. and wife Connie of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Betty Minor and husband Jack, and Phillip Clem and wife Donna all of London; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two children Bobby Wayne Clem and Rita Clem, and by his siblings Fleeta Howard, Lydia Howard, Hattie Saylor, Audie Sammons, Charlie Stewart, and Don Stewart. Fred was a WWII United States Army veteran, he retired from Flav-O-Rich after 53 years, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Fred Clem Sr. departed this life Monday, October 26, 2020 being 97 years, 6 months, and 8 days of age. Funeral services for Fred Clem Sr. will be conducted at 12 noon Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery in London. The family of Fred Clem Sr. will receive friends after 6 pm Thursday at Bowling Funeral Home.
