Donald Jay Terrell, 65, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Sunday evening, October 11, 2020 at Franciscan Health Crown Point. He was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on August 27, 1955, son of the late Cyrus B. Terrell and Minerva M. (Harrod) Terrell. Don was a pipefitter for Local #597 for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his three children: Lisa (William) Wilson of Somonauk, Illinois, Thomas Terrell of Minco, Oklahoma, and Jessica (Brian) Lilley of Wheatfield, Indiana; two sisters, Helen Francis Gary of Darien, Illinois and Thelma Jeanne (Nick) Lehner of Illinois; his twin brother, James Ray Terrell of Denver, Colorado; and three grandchildren: Nicole Wilson of Somonauk, Illinois, and Aaron Lilley and Elijah Lilley, both of Wheatfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Horace Scott Terrell; and one sister, Shirley Ruth Nash. Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer is assisting the family with cremation services.
