She was born in Benton County, Missouri on November 11, 1924, the daughter of George Melvin Ashley and Amanda Marie Davis. She grew up in the Fristoe area and on February 6, 1942 was united in marriage to Willie B. Roberts. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Fristoe community. To this union 3 children were born. On December 24, 1974 she was united in marriage to Herman B. Honea and they made their home in Edwards, Missouri until moving to Warsaw in 1982. Wanda was a member of the Warsaw Baptist Church. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother who died in infancy, one son, Larry Roberts and one daughter, Sharon Martin and her husband, Michael Martin. Wanda is survived by one daughter, Shirley Copp (Dick), daughter-in-law, Peggy Roberts, two sisters, Claudine Shull, of Salina, Kansas and Joan Templeton, of Overland Park, Kansas, 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Wanda M. Honea will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri, with the visitation to be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial to follow at Fristoe Cemetery, Fristoe, Missouri.
