Vicki Rae Snelson, 65, of Rolla, MO passed away on July 23, 2020. A celebration of life will be held on August 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at James Gahr Funeral home, 1861 Highway 72 E, Rolla, MO. Vicki will be laid to rest during a family graveside service at Thomas-Fairview Cemetery on Highway F, Rolla, MO at a later date. Vicki was born in Rolla, MO on October 11, 1954. She graduated from Rolla High School in 1973. After graduation she began working at Missouri S&T (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) until retiring at age 55. Vicki married Stanley Snelson in Rolla, MO on December 18, 1971. They were married for over 48 years. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving family is her husband, Stanley; son, Gregory Snelson and wife Erica; daughter, Rebecca Bell and husband Charles. Four grandchildren, Brady Snelson of Branson, Canyon Snelson, Challie Snelson and Bentlee Bell all of Rolla. Sisters, Kay Brown of Springfield; Regina Christopher of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kerri Foust and husband Tony of Rolla. As well as many other extended family members. Vicki was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Lorene Collins. Vicki enjoyed traveling to warm, sunny beaches, taking family trips and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved watching football and baseballparticularly when her grandchildren were involved. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Thomas-Fairview Cemetery.
