Velma Louise Manning May 23, 1940 – August 07, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Velma, 80, of Danville, passed away unexpectedly in the emergency room at Hendricks Regional Health on Friday morning. Following her wishes of cremation, her cremains will be laid to rest next to her husband of 38 years, Kenneth in West Ridge Cemetery, Indianapolis, with a private graveside service at a later date. Velma was born in Memphis, In. to the late Birdie Albert and Vera Bell (Logston) Bushong. She married Kenneth Manning Dec. 17, 1953, he preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1991. She exemplified the nature of motherhood, raising eight children while being a great homemaker, she worked managing the Danville Coin-Op Laundry Mat for 17 years, and was a care giver at the former Hendricks County Home for 10+ years. Survivors include her children, Ricky Lynn Manning – Fillmore, Kenneth Gregory Manning, Steven Lee Manning, Randall Gene Manning, Michael Joe Manning, Edith Manning-Lane, all of Danville, Gary Wayne (Shellie) Manning and Angela Darlene Manning of Indianapolis. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren also survive along with brothers, Jerry Bushong – Fillmore, Glen Bushong and sister Barbara Johnson, both of Madison, In. WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
