Pauline Estelle Donaldson January 19, 1947 – July 30, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Pauline Estelle Tyler Donaldson, 73, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, on the morning of Thursday, July 30th, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold Paul Tyler and Gertrude Lorena Merrill Tyler. Pauline was a 1965 graduate of St. Clairsville High School, and a retired office manager of Haynesworth Sanitation/ J & J Refuse/Kimble Co., for 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a former board member of St. Clairsville Memorial Park. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, arts and crafts, and was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Frances Winona Miller Donaldson and William Edward Donaldson and sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Clifton Spinner. Surviving are her husband, Robert E. “Stumpy” Donaldson; three children, Michele (James) Goodson, Trina Noelle (her fiancée, Gabe Hays), and Rob Donaldson; four grandchildren, Kalib James Goodson (his fiancee Tyrah Ward), Lennon Tyler Hoover, Mason Robert and Avery Jean Donaldson; a great grandchild, Kaliyah Jhene Goodson; two siblings, Michael “Mickey” Tyler and Cynthia (Glenn) Donaldson; a brother-in-law, William “Donnie” Donaldson; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. The family would also like to express their gratefulness to all of the medical professionals who took care of her throughout. A special heartfelt thank you for the love and support given to her from Dr. Joe Glorioso and Staff, Dr. Alkhouri and Staff, Reynolds and Ruby Hospital Staff, Senior Services, Interim Healthcare, 3 C’s of Barnesville, and Amedisys Hospice–RN’s Lisa Shaver and Beth Burghy Robb. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8th from Noon to 4 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, St. Clairsville, OH, with a private service held for the family and close friends immediately after, with Rev. Carl Denson officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
