Nyla’s Obituary Nyla Ann Campbell died Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Roseau, MN hospital. Nyla Ann Hanson was born in Parshall, ND on June 1, 1942 to Ole and Anna (Erickson) Hanson. She was raised in Parshall and graduated from Parshall High School in 1960. Nyla had a daughter, Jodi Lynne, born September 13, 1962. She married Elger P. Lakoduk in Parshall on August 17, 1963. Elger adopted Jodi and they also had a son, Randy Dean Lakoduk, born November 18, 1964. Randy died of injuries suffered in a car accident August 22, 1972. Nyla and Elger divorced in 1982. Nyla lived and worked in North Dakota and Florida before moving to Warroad, MN in 1988. She worked at Holiday/Hot Stuff Pizza and Warroad Liquor Store in Warroad, and Lee’s Place and Hardee’s in Roseau. She retired in 2003. Nyla married the love of her life, George Ronald “Ron” Campbell, in Warroad on September 26, 2003. They lived in North Dakota and Hallock, MN, and spent three winters in Eureka, KS. They lived in Warroad for several years prior to her death. The greatest joy in Nyla’s life was her family. She was very close to her daughter and son-in-law, very proud of her three grandkids and adored watching her twelve great-grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and quilting, and had a green thumb, filling their home with plants. Nyla is survived by her husband George “Ron”; daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Charlie Brydon of Warroad; nephew Duane (Trini) Hanson of San Diego, CA; grandchildren John (Dawn Rehm) Brydon of Hallock, Chrystalyn (Joshua) Bernard of Roosevelt, MN, Michael (Nicole) Brydon of Roseau; great-grandchildren Brianna Brydon of Roosevelt, Katelynne and Zachary Brydon of Sebeka, MN, Ben Rehm of Hallock, Alexis and Draven Bernard of Roosevelt, Emma Vickaryous of Warroad, Austyn Bourman of Thief River Falls, MN, Hannah and Moryah Bourman and Theryn and Stephan Brydon of Roseau; brothers Richard (Joyce) Hanson of Kansas and Dennis (Mely) Hanson of Florida; sister-in-law Becky Hanson of Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons, Randy Dean Lakoduk and Mark Campbell; parents, Ole and Anna Hanson; brothers, Harold, Orville (Darlene), and Robert Hanson; sisters, Elvina (Bert) Stringer, Berniece (Loren) Krieger, and Shirley Allen; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
