LeRoy’s Obituary LeRoy Nash, 63, of rural Galesburg, passed away at his home at 2:41 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born in Oswego, Kansas on January 7, 1957, to Albert Earl Nash and Bettie Jean (Foss) Nash. He grew up and attended schools in Altamont and graduated from the Labette County High School there in 1975. LeRoy attended the Labette Community College where he studied welding. He worked for the Eichhorn Service Station in Altamont for a time and also farmed with Carl and Kelly Johnson for time. LeRoy worked in the oil and gas industry for many years. He worked for Splane Pulling and as a roustabout in the Chanute oil field for 18 years. LeRoy worked as a field supervisor for the Lancer Oil Company. He most recently worked for the Midwest Fertilizer Company where he was currently employed as a fuel manager. LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a member of N.P.G and the Propane and Gas Association. He was united in marriage to Debora A. Yeoman on May 15, 1979. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include: A Son, Justin Nash (Jessica) of Parsons; a daughter, Amber Rollins (Kenny) of Elk City, Kansas; Five Grandchildren, Jaedyn, Joscelin, Jazmyn, Kember and Emma; his mother, Bettie Jean Nash of Altamont; two brothers, Tony Nash (Becky) of Parsons and Larry Nash (Lori) of Parsons; three sisters, Sandy Warrior of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jean Reeves (David) of Parsons and Alberta “Bert” Smith (Bob) of Parsons. In addition to his father who passed away in 2004, LeRoy was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Nash and a brother-in-law, Jerry Warrior. Funeral services for LeRoy Nash will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday. Cremation will follow the funeral service. The funeral service will be live-streamed on Facebook Live, beginning shortly before the funeral service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and these may left at or mailed to the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, PO Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required for those attending the funeral service or visitation. Social distancing is requested for the safety of the family and others in attendance.
