James’ Obituary Celebration of Life Gathering celebrating the life of Mr. James “Jim” Quam will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the First Baptist Church, Fellowship hall, Pine Prairie, LA. Pastor Daniel Holsomback will share in the celebration. Jimmy 77, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Prairie Manor Nursing Home, Pine Prairie, LA. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed all things; outdoor adventures, hunting, fishing, collecting and crafting elk horn utensils, and was always a big prankster! He served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 with an honorable discharge. Jim loved animals and had two special pups, Cheyene and Koda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes Quam and Morris Quam; one sister, Bonnie Winsell and a loving niece, Penny Stafford. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Quam; two sons, Danny and his wife, Nancy, of Monroe, Washington. John and his wife, Cori, of Marysville, Washington; daughters, Kaylin and Dana Tesch of Palmer, AK, Elisha Mabb, of Sumner, IA, Arian and Jake Doonan, of Gibson, IA and loving grandchildren, Jack Rummel; Colton and Alyssa Quam and great grandson, Finn; Hunter Quam, Blaine Mabb, Elizabeth Fox, Riley and Madeline Doonan; two brothers, Marvin Quam, of New York and Robert “Bob” Quam and his wife, Barbara, of Pine Prairie. He was loved by a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends. The family extends an open invitation for the Celebration of Life that will be held at First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, Pine Prairie, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Jeans and comfortable clothes are encouraged.
