Harold P. “Bus” / “Red” Stradtman Jr., 84, Sandusky, died Wednesday, August 27, 2020, in Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1936 in Sandusky to the late Harold and Margaret (Payne) Stradtman Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Diamond S Electric, Cedar Point, Ronnie’s Beer Dock and Myers Gas Station. Bus was very active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Bellevue and Sandusky Kiwanis, past president of the Sandusky Athletic Boosters, and Red loved all of Sandusky High School sports, especially basketball. He is survived by his children, Nancy Hupp, Perrysburg, OH, Karen (George) Swanwich, Attica, OH, Terry (Linda) Stradtman, Philadelphia, PA, and Donald Stradtman, Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stradtman, Ryan Hupp, and Adrien Hupp; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Stradtman in 2013; parents; and sisters, Jane Willman and Geraldine Milner. A private visitation and service will be conducted in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandusky Athletic Booster Club. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
