He was born October 31, 1959 in Lansing the son of Joseph and Beverly (Johns) Sanborn. He married Karen Scofield on September 27, 1997. Gordon worked for over 20 years at Electrolux and retired from Ventra as an inspector. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, especially hunting, fishing, mushrooming and gardening. He also enjoyed woodworking. Gordon is survived by his wife, Karen Sanborn; sons, Michael Scofield, Gordon Sanborn, II, Jason (Lori) Scofield, Jason (Christina) Sanborn; 15 grandchildren; his parents, Joseph and Beverly Sanborn; three brothers, Don Brown, Eric (Lisa) Sanborn, Brian (Selina) Sanborn; and a sister, Dawn Wing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn. Cremation has taken place with a family memorial service to held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Crystal.
